Terms & Conditions

 

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made on this website, via telephone, e-mail or any partner booking site. 

 

We kindly ask that you take a few moments to read and familiarise yourself  prior to making a Booking.
 

In these Terms and Conditions the following definitions apply:

 

Definitions

“Company” or “we” means The Hideaway Thorpe Thewles

“Booking” means the booking for accommodation or any other services or items made with us, including any added extras.

“Contract” means the Booking and these Terms, and any other terms and conditions stated will apply to the Booking.

“Hotel, lodge, holiday let, annex” means the premises for which your Booking is made.

“Terms” means these terms and conditions.

“Websites” means “www.thehideawaythorpethewles.com” or any other website whereby we are advertised or promoted.

“VAT” means value added tax.

 

Bookings can be made over the telephone, in person or using our on line booking via our website or any booking site associated with “The Hideaway Thorpe Thewles”

 

We  accept all major credit cards, including MasterCard, Visa and American  express

We accept debit card and cash payments. 

 

The Annex needs to be paid in full at time of booking. 
 

24 hours before your arrival you will receive a email link requesting a security deposit payment of £100 which will be refunded within 48 hours of your checkout providing The Hideaway Annex is left in undamaged condition. Any unreported damage to the property or items will be secured from the security deposit.

 

Check in is from 3pm Check out by 10am promptly. Late checkout taken without prior permission will be charged at £20 per 15mins, as this can result in change over delay for our next guests.

 

We operate a self service check in unless you request otherwise all check in information will be provided via your email booking confirmation. 

 

You will be contacted 24 hours prior to your arrival with full key collection and drop off information.

 

The Hideaway Team reserves the right to refuse admission to any party that does not comply with the terms and conditions

 

The Annex can accommodate one couple or a family group comprising of 2 Adults a 2 / 3 children dependent on age please confirm before booking. 

 

Young, single sex or young mixed parties under the age of 25 years will not be accepted.

 

 

Cancellation Policy;

 

Any guest that wishes to make a cancellation, is to do so by telephone followed by written confirmation by  or email to thehideawaythorpethewles@hotmail.com

 

Please note; 

If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours prior to check in, the full balance taken at the time reservation will be charged/kept.

 

Cancellations more than 24 hours upto 7 days prior to check in, will result in a 50% refund,
 

For greater than 7 days and 75% refund will be issued. 
 

Guests that do not show for their booking with not be given a refund.  

 

If any of the below circumstances cause a guest to cancel less than 24hours or they do not show for their booking at The Hideaway, and they can provide Valid written proof with in fourteen days of the reservation date a 75% refund will be issued. 

 

a.Death, (injury or illness causing hospitalisation) of any persons or of any close relative of such person booked. A doctor’s letter or certificate is required.

 

b. Compulsory UNEMPLOYMENT (REDUNDANCY) occurring after the date of confirmation of booking. Letter from employer serving notice of employment is required

 

c. Called upon to do JURY SERVICE. Court letter with dates of Jury service is required

 

There is a strict no smoking policy in all internal areas of “The Hideaway”. Smoking is only permitted within the designated smoking hut and within the The Annex hot tub garden but strictly not in the hottub or whilst Annex windows or doors are open. All cigarettes must be fully extinguished and disposed of in the provided ashtrays.

 

If any signs of smoking or breach of the above conditions are found this will result in a loss of your security deposit (£100) which will be used to provide a deep cleaning service to our property to ensure there is no tabbaco smells. If the next occupant refuses to accept the The Hideaway facilities due to contamination from smoking, you will be liable for the cost of their alternative accommodation and The Hideaway team reserves the right to charge this to the card guaranteeing the booking without prior permission from the card holder.

 

We will not tolerate loud or abusive behaviour and you and all members of your party will be asked to leave immediately if your conduct is considered by us to infringe our rules or is likely in our belief to cause upset, distress or disturbance to us or nearby residence. No refunds will be given in these circumstances. 

 

You must use “The Hideaway areas, the hot tub garden along with all of its contents with care. Please look after the facilities so that they may be enjoyed by all. Please report any accidental damage as soon as possible / immediately, so that we can make a repair or replacement. 
 

The Hideaway team reserve the right to enter the annex without prior permission of its occupants if we feel there has been a breach of the terms and conditions. 

 

The use of the hot tub is from check in until check out, with a 10pm curfew in place. 
 

You must read and take note of the hot tub health and safety instructions and advice situated next to the hot tub and Sauna.

 

Strictly no glass in the facilities, numerous plastic cups are available! Damage resulting in glass smashing in or around the facilities will result in loss of security deposit.

 

Do not tamper with or add / alter any hot tub products as this may damage the hot tub, all water levels and chemicals are checked for your safety. 

 

Please ensure you only touch the jets & light buttons on the hot tub to ensure you do not alter any temperature or cleaning cycles as this may result in the hot tub not reaching its optimum temperature for the duration of your stay.

 

Please remove any jewellery or watches prior to entering the hot tub . The Hideaway will not be held responsible for any damage caused to your personal items.

 

The Hideaway heating system is set to 18 degrees to provide a comfortable ambient temperature,  if you feel it is too cold or to hot in The Annex we are happy for you to turn this up or down but ensuring that your turn the heating back down when leaving the property for long periods of time.
 

Act of gods We are unable to accept liability if we are prevented from supplying a service to you due to a Force Majeure, an event which we cannot avoid, such as act of God, civil commotion, riot, war, explosion, accident, flooding, hurricane, snow, unusually low or high temperatures, earthquake, terrorism and any similar events which are outside of our control including, but not limited to, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.

 

The Hideaway team reserves the right to refuse to hand over accommodation to any person/s, which, in their opinion, is/are not suitable to take charge. Any refund will be at the discretion of the Management

 

Complaints - Any complaint you have with any aspect of your stay should be notified to us as soon as possible before the end of your stay, so that we can resolve the problem. We may not be able to consider any request for refund/compensation if we have not been made aware of your complaint at the time of your stay and noted your comments. Please contact Reception and we will do our utmost to help you enjoy your stay. 

 

Lost Keys / Gate Fobs

In the unlikely event of losing your room key, we reserve the right and you authorise us to charge the guests credit/debit card or send an invoice for £25.00 to the registered address.

 

Children

All children (a person under 16 years of age) staying at the Hideaway must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised by an adult at all times, the hot tub garden is not supervised so it is the responsibility of the supervising adult for the child’s safety at all times

 

A cot can be available, Additional charges may apply. Please check at the time of booking.

 

We operate a no pet policy 

Guide dogs are accepted with prior arrangements.

 

Telephone calls may be recorded from time to time to help us improve the service we offer you.

All personal information stored and used by us is done so in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are available on request .

 

 

 

Limitation of Liability

 

We will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Hotel other than as required under the Hotel Proprietor’s Act 1956 and the Local London Authorities Act 2004 (a copy of the notice under such Acts is displayed in the reception of the Hotel) or any other applicable law.

 

We will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of the Company, its employees, contractor or agents or otherwise). The Company’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges received by it under the Contract.

 

Nothing contained in the Contract or in any other document referred to or incorporated in it shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by the Company’s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

 

Money and other valuables are brought to the Hideaway at the guest’s sole risk. The Hideaway and/or the management accept no liability and shall not be responsible for any loss or damage thereto and guests remain solely responsible for the safekeeping of any such items.

 

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

 

The Contract and any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with it are governed by English law.

The English courts have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute arising in connection with the Contract, including disputes relating to any non-contractual obligations.

Each party irrevocably waives any objection which it may now or later have to proceedings being brought in the English courts (on the grounds that the English courts are not a convenient forum or otherwise).

 

Web Site Information

 

While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on the Websites, the Company does not accept responsibility for errors or omissions and reserve the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the arrangements featured on the Websites without notice. Please note that in certain circumstances, generic photographic images have been used to represent the general style of a particular product or hotel.

The content of the Websites is the copyright of the Company, and may not be copied, reproduced, published, distributed or amended for any other purpose without our prior written consent.

Trade marks used on the Websites are the property of the respective owners. Hyperlinks to third party websites are provided for your convenience. We cannot accept responsibility for the content or use of third party sites.
